For ProteoBridge Corporation
Logo Design
In April 2018, Konoe was requested to design a logo for Proteobridge Corporation (AIST technology transfer venture), a company that provides innovative research design in the fields of diagnosis, drug discovery.

Proteobridge is a firm that mainly develops and provides "HuPEX®[kr1] comprehensive protein arrays".
Our client already had several ideas in mind for the logo design. Red and blue for blood (arteries and veins). Including a shape of a bridge from the company philosophy 'Building Proteomics Bridges to a Healthy Tomorrow'. Another idea was to include the initial letters of the company name ProteoBridge in lower case ('p' and 'b').
First, we looked at bridges in various shapes and sought a shape that would be recognizable as a bridge at first glance. We considered a suspension bridge like the one in San Francisco, but settled on a round bridge. We also noticed that when 'p' and 'b' are placed horizontally, it looks like a bridge.

Director of Proteobridge slash Chief Science Officer Naoki Goto contributed to the discovery of methods for producing iPS cells in a project with Nobel Prize-winning Professor Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University. He also studied the development of the application of 'protein arrays' to the search for disease markers in a joint project with Professor Shoji Tsuji from the University of Tokyo. Mr. Goto has been involved in numerous projects and they have all contributed to the development of Japanese medical science.
We are extremely honored to have been able to participate in such project.
